For higher education institutions recruiting in francophone Africa

Recruit in francophone Africa, without the workload, without unpaid fees, without the risk.

We bring you applicants who are already guided, already briefed on your fees and your process. Then we take on the workload that African recruitment pushes onto three of your teams: finance, academic management and the international office.

New

We no longer just manage your students.
We bring them to you.

Every year thousands of students in francophone Africa look for a course in France without knowing where to start. We support them from the very beginning, before they even know what to study. Partner institutions appear first in their results.

They come to you early

Our free guidance tool asks the student about their level, their field, their budget and the city they are aiming for. We reach them while they are still choosing, not once they have applied somewhere else.

They come to you informed

The email they receive spells out your real fees, how to apply from their country and which documents to prepare. You stop spending time re-explaining what is already written down.

They come to you funded

We handle the proof of funds the visa requires and we collect the tuition. An applicant who comes from us has already cleared the financial hurdle that sinks most files.

What we need from you

Your course brochures, as they come. That is the only condition, and it is not negotiable: we guide students on real information, never on assumptions. Exact titles, prerequisites, fees, application dates. In return, a guidance commission paid only when a student we introduced actually enrols. Nothing upfront, nothing binding over time.

Three teams carry the load. We take it off all three.

International recruitment rarely fails on the strategy. It fails on the day-to-day work it drops on people who already have a job.

Finance and accounting

Reconciling international payments.

A standard international transfer costs 15 to 50 € in fees per 1,000 € sent, on top of an exchange margin. Payments arrive in instalments, from different accounts, with vague references. Your accountants spend hours matching each amount to the right student file.

EDUFREM collects from the students on your behalf. You receive one clean SEPA transfer in euros, with the amounts already attached file by file. No manual matching, no SWIFT fees, no references to decipher.

Coming next: the guarantee that every student holds the full tuition before they even land in France. No more chasing balances mid-year.

Academic management

The real level of files coming from Africa.

Students in international mobility move up to the second year at a rate of 76 %, against 80 % for French students, and the gap widens for some groups. Moving from a largely lecture-based system to one that demands autonomy creates a learning shock. Without support, your recruitment effort is lost in the first year.

We work upstream of the application. Our guidance tool tests the student's plan against your actual prerequisites, taken from your brochures, and filters out profiles that would fail. Transcripts and diplomas are shared through the EDUFREM vault, so they are verifiable at application time and cannot be forged. You judge an accurate file, from a candidate who already knows what your programme demands.

Already live: our guidance tool puts your programmes in front of students who match your criteria, before they apply elsewhere. Coming next: your institution will also be able to fund future students through the EDUFREM scholarship.

International office

Administrative follow-up before and after arrival.

The international office is the single point of contact for every international student: visa, residence permit, opening a bank account, housing, insurance, transport. For African files the process starts months before arrival and the workload never really drops.

EDUFREM supports the student throughout the process and acts as the go-between with your school. Your international office is freed from document-by-document follow-up, chasing and repeated questions. Applicants share their transcripts and diplomas through their EDUFREM diploma vault, so your team verifies profiles from secure, tamper-proof documents at application time.

Coming next: in selected cities, including Lyon and Paris, EDUFREM will handle the student's physical onboarding on arrival.

How it runs, step by step

01

Your school joins the EDUFREM network.

A short agreement, with no minimum term. You tell us which programmes are open to African recruitment and your admission calendar. EDUFREM fits your way of working, not the other way round.

02

Your school issues its admission letters.

You stay in charge of admissions. In the letter sent to each successful applicant, you state that EDUFREM becomes their main contact for what follows: tuition payment and administrative support.

03

EDUFREM takes over, your international office keeps sight of everything.

In phase one, your international officer stays copied on every exchange and can step in at any time. In phase two, with the platform, exchanges run through the app's messaging and the office keeps full visibility as co-host.

04

The student follows the whole journey in the app.

Invited by email to create an account, the student and your school track in real time: progress of the procedures, tuition payment, proof of funds filed, visa granted, expected arrival date. Your school can upload its onboarding documents and the housing certificate.

Service status

The service runs today. The platform lands in the fourth quarter of 2026.

EDUFREM already delivers this service to partner schools: applicant guidance, tuition collection, SEPA transfer, administrative support. The software platform that automates it end to end (file tracking, live accounting statements, a dedicated school workspace) is being built and ships by the end of 2026. Schools joining now shape the tool.

The platform will stay free for schools. Institutions joining the network now keep preferential rates on the paid options, for good.

What schools ask us

How does EDUFREM bring applicants to our school?

Students land on our free guidance tool, answer five questions about their level, field, budget and target city, then receive course suggestions. Partner institutions appear first when they match the profile. The student then receives, by email, the detail of each programme and how to apply. So you get applicants who already know your fees and your process.

What does it cost our institution?

Nothing upfront. The partnership rests on a guidance commission, paid only when a student we introduced actually enrols. We set the amount together at the first call, based on volume and on the level of support you want.

What do we need to provide?

Your course brochures, as they come. That is what lets us guide students on real information: exact titles, prerequisites, fees, application dates. Without them we cannot put your institution forward, because we refuse to guess at a course offering.

Do we keep control of admissions?

Entirely. We select nobody on your behalf and we promise admission to no one. We guide, we prepare the file and we secure the payment. The decision to admit stays yours, on your criteria.

How do we get paid, in practice?

EDUFREM collects from the student and sends you a SEPA transfer in euros, with the amounts already attached file by file. No more SWIFT fees, no exchange margin to absorb, no vague references to decipher and no instalments from scattered accounts to reconcile by hand.

Which countries do you work in?

Our operational priority is Senegal, Cameroon and Côte d'Ivoire, where we are established and where demand is strongest. We support applicants from other francophone African countries case by case.
